OA 12 & 12 p. 14 This program allows me to experiment. i can test the spiritual life for myself. i do not have to accept something as true because others believe it to be true. i do not have to accept any particular description of a Higher Power before I can practice prayer and reliance on God. god as I understand Him includes a God I do not understand. I am agnostic about what God is, but I am not agnostic about the effectiveness of prayer and reliance on God. My recovery shouts beyond any doubt that prayer works, and reliance on God works.
