The Magic Day 26

The Magic Day 26
Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have had yesterday given to me at work to do that work,
because it saved time and energy and discomfort for me and the kids. AND it gave my aide a sub day.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for the way the kids handled it! No one seemed nervous!
Because they should feel comfortable.
Hm, secondly, it also saved me some stress and time that they didn’t seem nervous. But I just thought of THAT now!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for the wonderful working lunch with K,
because we came up with a great idea, AND we had a nice time together.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for my friendship with A in the mornings IMing,
because I have company while having coffee.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have the two book recommendations from yesterday,
because these two I am really looking forward to reading!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for today, during which I have TWO breaks!
Because I can read, or play piano, or do French, OR work during them. Yay.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for the beauty of my birds,
because I love looking at their colors, as I got to do so close up this morning.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for yesterday morning when I showed up unannounced at my mother’s, to find the new aide cleaning the floor and my mother sleeping like a baby. Phew.
Because she was safe and sound and things were getting done. And it was a great relief.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for the smiles and laughter from the aide yesterday afternoon when I stopped by too,
because that was also a relief!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for my book club,
because it is good for me to be with nice people.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Pt II
One mistake I’ve made in my life: mistake on KG’s spelling test all those years ago, and it was so embarrassing as her mother pointed it out.

10 blessings I’m grateful for as a result of that mistake.
1.      It taught me that nothing horrendous came of it or comes of things like that.
2.      It did make me more careful.
3.      I think of all the years of careful work children have benefitted from me with since then.
4.      It helped me slow down a little. And slowing down is something good for me.
5.      I do less multi-tasking now than I used to do, and I wonder that maybe that mistake or that kind of mistake, at least unconsciously, helps me to do less of it.
6.      It also helped me reevaluate my spelling program and the amount of time and effort that that one took.
7.      The whole experience with that extremely(!) outgoing child and mother wand aunt with no phobias and endless energy was a good example for me.
8.      My aide-at-the-time – her response to them helped me too, in the longrun.
9.      That mother’s sort of pushiness about it made me less afraid IN THE LONGRUN.
10.   These mistakes do not matter in a negative way later.

(Helpful questions: “What did I learn from the mistake?” And: “What are the good things that came out of the mistake?”

The Magic Day 24

The Magic Day 24

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have done the things I had to do yesterday!
Because I had to “fire” 3 people from jobs for my mother omg! I was literally shaking! And hours went by because who had to get back to me… …. And. I. Did. It. With grace, dignity, and kindness. And the all were fine about it! Well 2 were positively gracious, and the other was – eh – but she’s nasty anyway and my mother REALLY wanted her gone! I did it. I did what had to be done. I am so so so so grateful!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for the new person yesterday seems very nice, and is definitely kind,
Because who knew who she would be, and my mother WILL always have kind people period!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for being supportive of Ma, and being willing to go out of “our” way to keep her job, but not SO far out of our way that we lose everything we need to cater to her craziness,
because that is kind, fair, and compassionate, but not only to her – to us as well.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for my supporting Ma yesterday, but not getting enmeshed or crazed over HER crazies
because that is healthy all around.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have sleep and dreams last night,
because I was exhausted and am now refreshed (after coffee lol)
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for staying positive yesterday! No sinking despite the tense tense morning at my mother’s, the work things, the money things, the Ma things, the firing people things, the nervousness, and even the qwkward J call last night. It was not out of control. I was fine!!!!!!
Because that is HUGE. I have grown so much. I CAN stay happy omg.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for my professionalism,
because it not only makes me good at work and is good for others, but it helps keep me positive too!
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for my friendship with M,
because we really love each other and are here for each other and that is a wonderful gift.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for my breath, my beautiful deep slow calm breath,
because there was a time I didn’t know if I’d have it. I struggled for it. And it is becoming the normal way now.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for vegetables,
because  they help my mood and feelings, my energy, and my weight loss. Thank you for this gift of vegetables.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!
--
And for Pt II, I will concentrate on

My mother's comfort
M's health, wealth and happiness
J's mental health and feelings about himself
MA's breath and comfort (health)
and My class' happiness

Thank you thank you thank you!

Day 23

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have my breath,
because when you think about what goes into it, in terms of the air and atmosphere and oxygen itself, and then the body too, it really is kind of a miracle.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for starting my day sitting here with facebook and tv and The Magic book and hot coffee,
because it is actually pretty luxurious.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for yesterday going so well,
because my mother and her aide M and I had a nice time at lunch, then went for ride and I picked up book for my M, and then stopped at store for aide M to get bras so she does not have to take bus and do today, which has stress for her already as tomorrow she starts her course and is coming in today for a couple of hours extra to help my mother.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for this opportunity today with my mother,
because we all have stress about it and yet really, what is it but an opportunity?!  And thank you with full heart for that new attitude!!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have my mother’s courage as an example and as guidance,
because it helps life.
Thank you thank you thank you!!

I am so happy and grateful for what M said Sat night and reinforced and reinforced more tomorrow, about her love and care for me and future…,
because it makes me know I am not alone!.

I am truly grateful for the good talk with J on Sat morning,
because it gives me hope and I so want that.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for the magic rock practice at night,
because I love it and really look forward to it each evening. It is a beautiful and very helpful practice!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for friends. I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful to have irl friends and fb friends and EJ, JJ and Birdie friends here,
because each other is what makes life worthwhile.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for sleep,
because I do sleep every night. And I even dream. I have come to enjoy my sleep. And of course I know that my body, mind, and spirit need it.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!

And have already started today's Pt II and will continue it:) The breath one.:)

The Magic Day 22

Day 22 (redo)
Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have that great conversation with MA on the phone yesterday morning! And another great one this morning!
Because we are friends, we love each other, we laugh and cry together, we understand and accept each other, and we had very close talk yesterday and good one today. And because this enhances my life.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for M!
Because omg last night – she told me – over tea – she TOLD ME – that she (17 years younger than I) would like to get lawyer or whatever is necessary, to ensure that she will do whatever is necessary for me in my old age! Can you even believe this????? Like, all that I do for my mother, and I get a bit sad sometimes and say, “I won’t have a Lynn when I’m in that shape God forbid.” And she said that last night! She referred back to it a few times and again today to assure me she really meant it. Omg! She said, “Don’t ever think you are not family to me!”
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for the good talk  and I had yesterday morning,
because it gave me good hope and cheer.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for the fun movie last night,
because the theater was so much nicer than I’d expected it would be and we had great seats and the movie was really fun. Just plain entertainment. Leisure. So fortunate for that.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have the extra time and nice chat with M over tea,
because we were not rushed as usually have been, and I got to talk and be listened to too. Lucky!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for all I really have to do today is laundry and a little straightening and lunch with mother,
because it is really not so much!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for my new clothes and haircut and little makeup,
because I look and feel better every day!
Thank you thank you thank you so much!

With all my heart, thank you for the fact that I did get to thes tore for the mildly phobic mother-errand yesterday. And although not perfect, didn’t matter, worked out fine, and that I got to the very phobic errand for her in the rain after work on Friday too!
Because it all worked out. Fine enough is enough. AND – every time I step outside of my comfort zone, my comfort zone expands : )
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for the opportunity to take my mother to lunch today,
because frankly I wouldn’t have, and would have felt “too much to do…” but am instead, feeling grateful that CAN do this!
So, am incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for this change in attitude too!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for hummus
because a little portion of it goes a long way for me and it has protein and fat and is delicious to me.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Will do Pt II also today, of course!

The Magic

Day 21 redo (because didn’t finish 24 so go back 3 days)

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have not finished last night’s “The Magic” practice,
because it is amazing but I think I really did need to go back to this Day 22, so it worked out great!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for yesterday, bringing my Nutribullet cup with the handle stuck on it for 3 days, to school and asked custodian to open,
because he did and it took all of half a second. It also opened me up a bit!
Thank you thank you thank!

I am truly grateful for this – I actually felt this – and wanted to document it, so I wrote it during my break yesterday afternoon, to mySELF in an email:
“I am writing this to
Remember, myself,
That I am great today!
That yes, I I wish to be with J but here I am feeling fine and good and happy
Appreciated at work and loved by kids and MA and M and St
And I have French and piano
And I brought the cup to work and Lu opened it
And so J isn't needed for that kind if thing...
Of course it's easier with the weather nice and the light extended
But if my house is nice by next winter
and I keep making plans for fun,
and take care of my health,
I'm fine...”
because I really FELT that?! Omg. I did! And I’m glad I wrote it so I COULD remember it. Wow.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for my time last night with MA,
because we need each other and are good for each other.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have my health,
because I know that if I didn’t I would feel like I only want that. Just that. Everything would be SO MUCH harder.
So for my health, thank you thank you thank you!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for the fact that I have a home,
because my gosh what would it be like to be outside with no place to go in.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for my job,
because as long as I keep the right attitude, it really IS doable and even fun.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for EJ and Birdie and JJ,
because they are beautiful souls and when they show up here it it such a beautiful sharing of love and I am very very grateful for them and they’re openness to me and their sharing with me and their love.
Oh, thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for hope and change (not politics, real),
because I’m starting to believe that all my stuff really IS doable.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for not overeating last night – again I didn’t although again was so tempted -
because this is better for my health, this is better for my weight, AND this is better for my motivation for toDAY ! So
thank you thank you thank you!

And one extra today:
I am so so very grateful for my birds
Because they are taken care of and cute and lovely and innocent and happy and healthy
And I get happiness from them – from looking at them, touching them OMG, hearing them, and especially from them flying in the house, which is like I am in an aviary!
Thank you thank you thank you!

And yet one more:
Thank you thank you thank you I am so blessed for the amount of positivity and the amount of time I spend in positivity now!
Oh, thank you thank you thank you!

because I am doing what is right for my health, my life, and my figure.

because they are healthy and regular and I don’t have to worry about that.
