because we need it. It is our home. Thank you, Everyone who is helping!

Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for love.
Because I have and/or have had romantic love, familial love, students’ love, friendship love, non-human animal love, unconditional love…

Because I get to help children!

3.      Went to mother’s when nurse was there. Good for me.
4.      Then to school and picked up French bag!
5.      Had nice long chat with secretary. I like her.
6.      Saw other teacher too and had nice though short chat.
7.      Went to supermarket and got few things
8.      And for mother
9.      Dropped off
10.   All works out well and it is easy to take it all for granted. But the thing is that I got everywhere safely,
11.    the weather was gorgeous
12.   I had enough money for everything…
13.   My workout out tops (like bras) came in the mail
14.   I ate cherries yesterday. Mmm.
15.   I almost didn’t get through my workout! I like the weights ones MUCH better than the planking and pilates and yoga ones. So yesterday’s was a yoga one. Hard for me! Plus it was late; I was tired; I had already had dinner and was full…. After about 13 (out of 30) minutes, I believed honestly I cannot do anymore today. So I tried to turn off the dvd. Couldn’t find it! During those seconds when I was determined to stop and trying to turn off the dvd, she switched to a different type. And I wound up staying and finishing! Yay!  The strength is so big and I do NOT want to lose it! I want to keep building it!

Thank you thank you thank you!

The Magic July 29

July 29

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have my GREAT report from the ophthalmologist yesterday!
Because my eyes are doing well and – my vision is even improved!
Oh, thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for the French bag being found!
Because of course it saves me money as I don’t have to replace the stuff. Also, the thing my French teacher lent me isn’t gone. And I have all my notebook work for studying. I will also get to see (today when I pick it up) whether any other papers were indeed in there, and if so, what. I have also learned a lesson to keep better track of things like where I PUT papers and documents…. And – I WASN’T quite so crazy after all! Had received phone call at school about mother and had to go do something about which I felt a little phobic and just ran out of there from office while bag was still in conference room. Not THAT big a deal on the “stupidest” meter.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for the relief of stress. I literally had to empty bowels. And to take a low-dose valium last night from SO MUCH in the day (worries about dr appointment, relief from French bag being found, mother stuff, etc)
Because the relief of the stress is a great good thing! And I am very grateful!
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for all of us who are trying. And whatever that will mean to our futures. Including J.
Because who knows what the future might hold that is wonderful and the day. THIS day.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for saying this. When my eye dr. yesterday said, “Summer is going so quickly. It all goes too quickly. I don’t know what to do.” I said, “I think what to do is just ENJOY – EACH - DAY.
Because it helped him. But also – also – because I FELT it! I am DOING it SO MUCH MORE NOW!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have all of us who are peaceful.
Because the world need that. We ALL need that.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for  all of us who are peaceMAKERS.
Because the whole world definitely needs that. And benefits from it. Human and non-human animals alike.
Thank you thank you thank you.

I am truly grateful for all of us who are kind to and for non-human animals.
Because __

“Like us, animals feel love, joy, fear and pain, but they cannot grasp the spoken word. It is our obligation to speak on their behalf ensuring their well-being and lives are respected and protected.”
~ Sylvia Dolson
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for  my first principal in the district wehre I work now, putting in writing about me: “She walks about the building with a quiet sense of dignity>’
Because I remember it still, all these years later, and try to still live up to it!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for this __

Because it is a great great great reminder! If I had time and inclination to sit around and do nothing but gratitudes, I’m sure I could do a thousand in one day about that very day!
Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!

2. Remember The magic by counting the blessings of yesterday and writing them down. Ask yourself the question: What are the good things that happened yesterday? Scan the surface of yesterday until you feel satisfied that you’ve remembered and written down all the blessings of the day.

1.      Went to ophthalmologist.
2.      Took the five flights of stairs rather than the elevator as usual.
3.      They were easier this time! First timeI didn’t stop at all! And was a little quicker and stronger too. Didn’t start to breathe a little heavily til near top! Oh I love this feeling!
4.      Other non-scale victories already too! Like I can cross my legs pretty much without thinking about it
5.      Have felt and SEEN a little muscle in my upper arms!
6.      I now walk up and down stairs regularly not one foot then the other sideways!
7.      And get UP them (I have them outside here) more quickly, with a sense of strength!
8.      Muscles around my knees are working better and taking pressure off my knees! I can FEEL the difference!
9.      I FEEL the good feelings of strength immediately and for the whole next 24 hours after exercise!
10.   I was able to do the walking and all the moves for the week-long course I took and would have struggled before this.
11.   Carrying things is easier! My upper arms and shoulders are getting so much stronger now!
12.   **I am walking about like I felt in my twenties! I weigh a LOT more than then and don’t look like I did, but – I feel this core and legs and upper body strength propelling me forward. It is so wonderful! And on the days when I feel extra tired for whatever reason, and don’t want to exercise – THAT is what gets me to!
13.   *****Report from the ophthalmologist was good!*****
14.   ***Pressures are good. High average. Lower than usual but I took med later night before so that could be why… (less time after meds) (medication every night)
15.   ***Optic nerve is great, each eye.
16.   ***Cataracts are relatively stable. MAY BE that I don’t ever need the surgery. We’ll see.
17.   *** My VISION is actually BETTER! In the “good” eye! Did the eye chart AND the visual field test. And he SAID that my vision I actually BETTER!
18.   ***I think it could be from the vitamins I have been taking every single day called Ultimate Eye Support by Andrew Lessman. I will see in next 3-month check, and tell him about it. Could also be from the better way I’m eating. And even my positivity. I am going to continue all!
19.   ***And – I am going to start eye exercises too! Today! (Came from dr I didn’t make them up)
20.   Found the French stuff bag! It was at school. Secretary told me yesterday. Yay oh yay.
21.   Ma went with mother and worthless paid aide to dr yesterday (aide leaving in few days, to be replace by Ma) Thank you, Ma!
22.   Found out yesterday that mother’s PT is coming to her TODAY! (It took me, and Ma working on it DESPITE the interference of the fucking paid aide oy)
23.   And I will be there!
24.   And she is not only finally agreeing to it, but very thankful for it!
25.   And – she is thankful to Ma and me for getting it to happen!

Thank you thank you thank you!

Great Note to Self

When you are even STARTING to feel funky - to sink even a little -
GET. OUT. OF. THE. HOUSE.
Here are some ways:

Walk to nail salon at corner (if has been weeks since have been there)
Walk to 7-11 and buy cup of coffee or tea, hummous, a banana, a bottle of water or seltzer, anything
Drive to very nearby supermarket and buy a tomato. Really.
Just sit out front and read!

Drive to Dunkin Donuts and buy a cup of coffee or tea.

Just walk around block.

If can, can even
Drive to outdoor mall and walk.
Go visit mother quickly.
Or walk to park and walk there or sit there with magazine or book or embroidery - anything.
Drive to library if they're open and do some French or read something - anything.

ANYTHING.

This am it happened. Awakened feeling shitty! "Had to" go to corner for coffee cause out of and beans didn't grind in coffee maker. It all turned around in those few minutes!

And
I remember now that I used to (when not depressed EVER) always do this. Like on a day off, I just FELT LIKE walking to bakery to PAY for cup of tea and walk back. Of course cheaper to make at home. But for the like 80 cents, I just so enjoyed it. Would sometimes pick up newspaper and even SMALL(not like ones they have now, and I wasn't fat or vegan) muffin. Just loved it. Just felt good. Didn't suffer depression so wasn't doing it on purpose. Just felt nice.
And - used to walk at outdoor mall - a LOT - hours! - Just because I liked it. It was natural thing to do....
Now too much time in little dark lonely house.
So remember to counteract it – head it off – that’s all

The Magic July 28

July 28

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have a really good ophthalmologist,
because he helps me take care of my eyes.
Thank you thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for my bag being found.
Because I’ll have the books, I’ll have the papers I’ve worked on, I’ll have the papers French teacher lent me; I’ll have all my supplies pens etc; I’ll have my nb with 5 months of work of mine and teacher’s; I’ll have my sentimental value bag. And most of all: I wasn’t AS crazy as I’d thought! It was the day of the last minute thing that came up and I didn’t know how to do, for my mother, and things kept going wrong (fax etc) and I simply left it at school. Not AS willy nilly how-crazy-was-I as I’d feared!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for food for the birds and my strength to get it yesterday.
Because when I hang HERE too much, I get a little down and can’t imagine doing things. But I did for mother and birds and then MA and self. And of course, felt better.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for my eating so so much better now,
because besides so many other things, I did go buy crap the other night, yup, and – couldn’t even eat much of it because it tasted so awful compared to fresh berries etc!
Yay!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have the gift of fresh cherries from Ma yesterday,
Because it was sweet of her to bring them for me and she asked first if I would eat them, and cherries are my FAVORITES and I’ve had them only once this season because the price is off the charts this year.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful that I am exercising virtually every day now!
Because it feels SO good. I feel stronger. I AM stronger EVERY SINGLE DAY. And I have a muscle AWARENESS (not pain or soreness even, but awareness!) all the time! Obliques, and shoulders/upper arms particularly. And I know it is empowering me emotionally.
Oh, thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for M exercising 3 x a week at the gym spin class now too.
Because I think she will have all those benefits too.!
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for my breath which is coming more easily again.
Because I hadn’t realized that it wasn’t until this morning (after bag found) and now it is. I FEEL it. Wow.
Thank you thank you thank you.

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful that lentils and beans count as a protein now on 21 Day Fix,
because even as a vegan I won’t have to eat “fake” foods like processed fake meats. Maybe I will have some, maybe a little bit for 4 out of 35 meals or something. Maybe not even.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for this day. Yes this day.
Because
I am NOT the kind of DEPRESSED I was LAST summer.
Oh thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!

2. Remember The magic by counting the blessings of yesterday and writing them down. Ask yourself the question: What are the good things that happened yesterday? Scan the surface of yesterday until you feel satisfied that you’ve remembered and written down all the blessings of the day.

1.      great visit with mother
2.      and M is helping with her dr today, while I am at my eye dr
3.      we saw that bad aide lied right to me and never even took the number I gave her that she promised to use and I made decision to wait til she’s gone (a week) and write to her employers rather than tell her off today, which I really want to do
4.      Had 3 hour dinner with MA
5.      Visibility bad last night but I made it home safely
6.      Got the bird foods on the way. Yay.
7.      Had feeling in car between mother’s and m.a. that while I wish to be with J, REALLY what I wish is to be loved. I would like THAT. That I don’t need to be with someone who doesn’t love me. That it is what it is… I am saying this very badly but it was a good feeling.
8.      Did great cardio workout. Getting stronger daily!
9.      Stayed on food plan yay.
10.   Good piano practice yay
11.   100 Days Happiness yay day 4
