The Magic Aug 31

Aug. 31

Uh oh forgot today to do. Thought did. Very stressful day. Is ok. Will do now! : )

These are among the very first words of the book, The Magic, and I love them:

"Remember when you were a child and you looked at life in total wonder and awe? Life was magical and exciting, and the smallest things were utterly thrilling to you. You were fascinated by the frost on the grass, a butterfly flittering through the air, or any strange leaf or rock on the ground."
Now:
Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly blessed to have f ound new book to read so and reading some sitting up on laptop or hard book: one fitness PUSH: 30 Days to Turbocharge, The Magic still sometimes lol, Shanghai Girls for my book group, and now Gone Girl because wanted a psychological thriller. And on Nook in bed, Queen Victoria by Matthew Dennison. And a few lined up! Life of Pi, etc. And in paper I am reading No Time to Lose by Pema Chodron and the new, hardcover, The Romanov Sisters. This is very very lucky all of it!
Because I have SO MUCH TO READ! YAY LUCKY ME!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for taking my mother and Ma out for Indian/Pakistani food lunch today
Because it was good to get her out and she was excited.
And she liked the food!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for honest talks with A.
Because I do NOT NOT NOT like the change and am a little bit heartbroken, but the fact is we were able to have it, AND I am ok! That is HUGE!
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for J. telling my mother, “Lynn and I went out to lunch together.”
Because that is a big opening. He has NOT wanted her to know when we’re together up til now…
Hopeful.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to be tightening up and building muscle.
Because I am stronger and I’m also losing inches!
And – the exercise is getting a bit easier (not easy, just less hard) and when it is time I will do fewer modifications still, and then more reps, and then heavier dumbbells.
I am now, a lifetime exerciser! And THRILLED about it!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for Shakeology
Because it really makes me feel good, and beautifully flavors 2 veggies and a fruit (or 1 veg and 2 fruits…) for me! And is so healthy! SO grateful I have worked and still work hard enough to afford it!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for not being incapacitated
Because I remember when I was (from an injury) and omg life is so so SO different being ABLE!
Thank you thank you thank you!

And – thank you for much FOR that incapacitation.
Because it has added to my appreciation now.
It was so hard, and it cost me, and us : (  so much. But – I think it was necessary for ME to CHANGE.
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for not being alone all the time
Because I would be truly miserable if I were. I am alone too much a bit now, but not always, and never totally all the time indefinitely!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for hope.
Because hope gets me through
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for my ability to sleep
Because I do not struggle with sleep! And it is necessary and it comes easily to me. I also remember when it didn’t.
Oh thank you thank you thank you, for sleep!

I so deeply appreciate that I have more cheerfulness!
Because life is happier this way!
Thank you thank you thank you!

Oh deeply and truly thank you for my ability to get to sort of “doing not doing” when at the piano.
Thank you thank you thank you!

And for my parents’ paying for all those lessons, and me and J later, and me since, I am so deeply grateful!
Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!

Please Read Beginning (in bold) if You Are Suffering! The Magic Aug 29

The Magic
Aug. 29

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

*** That I did NOT get horribly depressed this summer. Last year was death-hell of depression! What changed? Well, *mostly* I think what changed was since April.

1.      Reading the book, “The Magic” by Rhonda Byrne. DOING the exercises for the 28 days, and the “maintenance” straight through including now.

2.      And investing in a Nutribullet (about a hundred dollars) and using it daily for green veggies.

3.      Last week of June started exercising (21 Day Fix) You do NOT have to be perfect!

4.      June 30 started their food plan. (And I am DEFINITELY not perfect!)

5.      Shakeology. No I do not make any money by “touting” it!!! It helps me.

6.      Same with Activit. No money for “promoting.” Yes, it helps me.

7.      Buying little treats like cute exercise outfits – 2 so have when other is being washed.

8.      Using exercise nice mat (really meant as floor for tent) which already had around.

9.      Quitting shrink whose wife truly went crazy and was harassing me like 30 times a day literally and viciously (on phone).

10.   2 coffees every morning starts mood lightening.

11.   Currently in the 30’s of 100 Days of Happiness Challenge.

12.   Going out more! With friends. And alone.

13.   Keeping things lighter

14.   Reading

15.   PIANO! Helps me a TON

16.   French! (which I started in Feb.) She is fabulous and I can’t get over the price! Like ½ - 1/3 of what many are!

17.   Using the library

18.   Going back to bed. I was sleeping on the den sofa for 13 months!

19.   Cleaning more and better, including clutter – almost totally gone!

20.   Cooking and freezing more and more (started in Aug)

21.   Keeping busier ex 5 day arts course I loved in July and doing a professional day in July too.

22.   Taking things a bit easier and slower. Almost never on multi-task frenetic treadmill race!

Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you!

THANK YOU!

Because the fact is I do NOT cook when get home and exhausted. And this way, my healthy foods will be ready to heat (or not heat) and eat: )

I am so happy and grateful for my book to read
Because it is something useful I have to do. Now don’t get me wrong, Universe. I BELIEVE we’re meant to romp in Eden. And at this time I can’t so much do that without beloved. But CAN have nice times and CONTRIBUTE!

Because  it also gives me something useful to do. AND it earns me a little money!

Because I need it.
Now I have done it, and feel SO good! MISSED those days had to skip because of true pain and exhaustion (from classroom set-up).
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for coffee with A on computer in mornings
Because I am not alone. I am with a friend in the morning (virtual, but still).
Thank you thank you thank you!

Because I used to really struggle with that!

9.      And organized them.
10.   And gave them lots.
11.   And another teacher’s daughter joined us.
12.   She is also a love!
13.   And I got to give her some too!
14.   Those hugs and kisses from Je and Ji : )
15.   Curriculum etc. ready for Tues and a little beyond. Copier broke and decided not to be hog and do end of week, and some people still needed Tuesday’s stuff!
Thank you thank you thank you!

The Magic Aug 28

Aug. 28

Count your blessings. Make a list of ten blessings. Write why you’re grateful. Reread your list, and at the end of each blessing say thank you, thank you, thank you, and feel as grateful for that blessing as you can.

I am truly grateful for:
Sweating in classroom - more boxes - more cleaning - more more more -
And then, 4 or 5 children come to the window.
"The teacher's in there!"
I say from across the room, "Hello! How are you?"
*Adorable* little boy says, and I quote, "Fine thank you. How are you?"
I say, "What beautiful manners you have!"
And little girl *whispers* to him (but I hear because sometimes little kids can't control their whisper-volume lol): "Oh she sounds nice!"
Because    . He was relieved.
I was now in love.
And that.
Was that.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have M’s girls love me so much. And even little Ji, runs to me and kisses me and smiles and said the other day, “Oh I missed you!”
Because I love them and I want the beset for them!
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for: I think it’s not pneumonia.
Because I think it’s something I did exercising (a mistake). I was very worried yesterday so this is a big relief.
Of COURSE, if I have trouble breathing I will see dr!
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for that ability to GO to dr when NEED
Because there are people who can’t. And of course they are just as deserving as I…
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly blessed to have a beautiful classroom.
Because J helped originally – a TON – and I have done since, and it is beautiful.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so happy and grateful for abilities
Because I have the ability to breathe! To see! To talk! To work! To drive! To play piano! To love.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am truly grateful for my job
Because it helps keep me from going crazy, frankly…
Thank you thank you thank you!

With all my heart, thank you for summer fruit.
Because it is healthy and I have been enjoying it.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for sleep at night!
Because I don’t struggle for sleep, thank goodness.
Thank you thank you thank you!

I am so incredibly fortunate and lucky and grateful for coffee having an effect on me.
Because it wakes me mentally and physically and helps my mood too.
Thank you thank you thank you!

Thank you thank you thank you!
